BRIDGER, Mont. — An EMS provider with Clarks Fork Valley EMS has died days after being involved in an ambulance crash.

Everett Edwards, an 84-year-old Clarks Fork Valley EMS provider, died on June 24 from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash that happened on June 16, according to Carbon County Sheriff Josh McQuillan. Edwards was a dedicated member of the area’s emergency services for more than 40 years, reported.

reported that Edwards was driving the ambulance to a call when it collided with a pickup truck on Highway 310 between Fromberg and Bridger.

The Montana Highway Patrol reported that Edwards was traveling north on Highway 310 en route to a call when he attempted a left turn onto Goldie Road. A Ford F350 pickup struck the ambulance, causing it to overturn. The driver of the pickup truck, an 85-year-old Bridger man, was also injured.
