Video: Fla. driver seriously injured in collision with passenger train

Footage of the crash in North Miami Beach shows the vehicle going through the crossing just before being struck by the Brightline train

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. 鈥 One person was taken to the hospital after a car and Brightline train collided on Wednesday morning in North Miami Beach, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

Fire-rescue got the call around 10 a.m. about the crash near Northeast 165th Terrace and Biscayne Boulevard. North Miami Beach police advise drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. A major intersection at 163rd Street leads east to the ocean and west to the Golden Glades.

A video shared by Only in Dade on X captures a car driving past stopped vehicles and through a safety crossing, moments before being struck by a Brightline train. The train hits the car鈥檚 rear, sending it spinning.

One 鈥渢rauma patient鈥 was taken to the hospital by paramedics. Details on the person鈥檚 condition were not immediately available.
